Imagination in Motion - The Science of Art

In partnership with Art Buzz, Central Piedmont's Youth Central presents Imagination in Motion: The Science of Art. This is an exciting, experiential camp designed to show students how creativity and curiosity come together to form amazing works of art. Through a series of interactive experiments and projects, campers will learn that art is more than just paint and paper, it’s science, color, motion, and fun! Each day blends imagination with exploration, allowing students to discover new materials, textures, and techniques that make art come alive.

  • Reaction-based art and observation through an outdoor experiment.
• Day 2 Shaving Cream Marbling
  • Color mixing and printmaking using shaving cream and dye.
• Day 3 Let’s Make Slime
  • Sensory art and material manipulation through slime-making
• Day 4 Ice Cream Party
  • Culinary art and creative design inspired by sweet treats.
