Art Masters in the Making - Exploring Legendary Artists

In partnership with Art Buzz, Central Piedmont's Youth Central presents Art Masters in the Making. This camp is a immersive, creativity driven summer art camp designed to inspire emerging artists through the lives and works of four legendary masters: Frida Kahlo, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, and Georgia O’Keeffe. Each day, students will learn about an artist’s unique story and signature style, explore the emotions and meaning behind their work, and create an original piece inspired by that master’s technique. The camp emphasizes freedom of expression, creative confidence, and appreciation for art’s power to tell personal and cultural stories.

Daily Themes:

• Day 1 Frida Kahlo – Art and Identity:

• Day 2 Pablo Picasso – Breaking the Rules
  • Abstract thinking and seeing from new perspectives.
• Day 3 Salvador Dalí – Dreams and Imagination
  • Exploring surrealism and turning imagination into reality.
• Day 4 Georgia O’Keeffe – Nature in Detail
  • Observing the world around us through color, form, and emotion.
