Central Piedmont's Teen Central is geared towards 4th-12th grade students who are interested in technology, life skills, and personal enrichment. These unique courses foster creativity, collaboration and critical thinking. Your student will learn new skills, gain confidence, and have a great time every step of the way.
The Runway - Beginner's Sewing Boot Camp
Ready to have "SEW'" much fun? Over 92 million tons of clothing end up in landfills across the country each year. Campers will explore the benefits of upcycling clothing and learn how to operate a sewing machine. They will construct unique and fashionable clothing and accessories which they can wear with pride. This hands-on course will require a level of independence and the ability to work with a variety of sewing supplies. This course will conclude with a showcase of their new garments. No prior experience required.
